What they encountered was a scene of sudden tragedy that would leave family, friends, and the community in mourning.

According to preliminary findings from the Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit, Tyronesha, a 36-year-old resident of Fayetteville, was operating a 2013 Dodge Charger traveling east on Raeford Road at a high rate of speed. As she attempted to navigate the right turn onto the I-295 southbound entrance ramp, the vehicle was unable to safely complete the maneuver and crashed. Despite emergency response efforts, Tyronesha Shanae Sherlock-Benton was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene.

Her passing was sudden, unexpected, and deeply heartbreaking for those who knew and loved her.
